How to download a video from a link
Copying the right link is most of the job. Here's how.
The short version
- Open the video where it's hosted and copy its share/permalink.
- Paste that link into NoBsDL.
- Pick MP4 or MP3 from what's actually available.
Finding the right link
Most platforms have a "Share" or "Copy Link" option directly on the video — that's the link you want, not the address of a page that merely embeds or references the video. A playlist link (one containing something like list=) is a different kind of link and needs the playlist tool instead of a single-video flow.
What happens after you paste it
NoBsDL looks up what the source actually provides for that link — resolution options for video, or audio for MP3 — and shows you real choices instead of a fixed list. You pick a format and get a file.
Why a link might not work
- It's private or login-only. Only publicly accessible content can be looked up.
- It's expired or was removed. If the original content is gone, there's nothing to fetch.
- It's an unsupported site. Not every video site is supported yet.
- It's the wrong kind of link. A profile or channel link isn't the same as a specific video's link.
MP4 or MP3?
Choose MP4 for the video. Choose MP3 if you only want the audio. See MP4/MP3 basics on the homepage or a platform-specific tool like YouTube to MP3 if you need bitrate control.
