What these terms actually mean
- Popup / popunder — a new window or tab that opens without you clicking anything meant to open it, usually an ad.
- Forced redirect — clicking something on the page sends you somewhere you didn't intend to go, instead of doing what it claimed to do.
- Click hijacking — an invisible or disguised element captures your click and redirects it to something else, often an ad network.
- Fake download button — a button styled to look like the real download action, placed near it to trick you into clicking an ad instead.
What this promise does and doesn't cover
NoBsDL doesn't use any of the above. A normal functional link or button that actually does what it says — like a "next step" in a multi-step flow — isn't a forced redirect just because it's a link. If NoBsDL ever shows a labeled ad, it will be clearly marked as an ad, not disguised as part of the tool. This page describes an interaction promise, not a promise that the site will never generate revenue in any way.
Why this matters
A lot of downloader sites rely on exactly the tricks defined above to make money, and it makes the actual task — downloading your file — harder and less trustworthy than it needs to be. NoBsDL's interface is built around one job: showing you real formats and giving you the file, without routing you through anything else to get there.
