About the bitrate choice
320kbps is the highest output setting available here — it's a target for the encoder, not a guarantee that the original video's audio was recorded at that quality. If the source audio is lower quality, converting at 320kbps makes a bigger file without adding detail that wasn't there. Lower bitrates (128/256kbps) make smaller files and are a reasonable choice for spoken-word content like podcasts or lectures, where extra audio fidelity matters less. Read the full explanation in what 320kbps actually means.
What happens if conversion fails
If something goes wrong during conversion, you'll get a clear error instead of a file that looks fine but isn't actually a working MP3. This tool is built to fail closed: a result only counts as done when the audio file was actually encoded successfully.
Free vs. more
Converting a single video doesn't need an account, up to a size/duration ceiling shown at conversion time. Supporter access raises that ceiling.
